Day 1-6

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2026 thru FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2026
Off to the south for a genuine vacation. It's time to hit the beach! Soak in the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean from your oceanfront balcony of your suite at the Residence Inn! Great location - close to shopping and restaurants. Each morning there will be a full breakfast included. Each suite also has an equipped kitchen for the meals you want to prepare on your own.
Take a leisurely stroll down the iconic 3-mile boardwalk, enjoy the soft sand and warm ocean breeze, and swim in the Atlantic or the hotel pool. Rent bicycles or surreys to explore the area or hop on The Wave trolley for easy transportation along Atlantic Avenue and to nearby attractions like the Oceana Naval Air Base, Virginia National Aquarium, and Lynn Haven Mall.
We will offer four included trips during your stay. (1) The Thoroughgood House - one of Virginia's first colonists. This home is furnished as it was when the family lived there. Adam Thoroughgood was an indentured servant who came to America in 1622 and rose to be a member of the House of Burgesses. (2) Board a cruise to see the dolphins. Embark on a dolphin-watching boat tour to see charismatic bottlenose dolphins, and other coastal Virginia animals like seabirds, sea turtles, and more. (3) A visit to Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Musuem during the USA's 250 anniversary. You will learn about the nation's founding, see a continental encampment, and explore a revolution-era farm. (4) Tour the Nauticus Maritime Museum and the US Wisconsin Battleship located in Norfolk.
These four side tours will be offered at no additional cost. We hope you will take advantage of all four, but you can opt not to go and just enjoy the beautiful Virginia Beach area. Do it your own way!

Final Payment:

Balance due sixty (60) days prior to departure.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

More than sixty (60) days prior to departure:

Full refund.
From sixty (60) days to fourteen (14) days prior to departure:

$25.00 per person cancellation fee plus any non-refundable deposits paid by McCarter Coach & Tour.
Within fourteen (14) days of departure:

No refund.

Tour Protection

Optional tour protection is available for cancellations made up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure.

With tour protection:

A full refund, minus protection cost, if cancellation is received at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure time.
Cost:

$16.00 per day. Must be purchased no later than sixty (60) days prior to departure.
Note:

Full payment remains due sixty (60) days prior to departure. Failure to remit final payment will void tour protection.
