Many travelers wonder why some trips are canceled. This usually happens when not enough people sign up in advance.

Most venues require our payments 60–90 days before the trip, so we often must make decisions well ahead of departure dates.

Day 1

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2026
An early start this morning as we motor to Danvers, Massachusetts. Along the way, we will stop at The Marketplace at Steamtown in Scranton, a vibrant indoor shopping destination featuring fashion boutiques and a variety of dining options. Lunch will be on your own. Before checking into our hotel, enjoy a delicious Italian dinner buffet.

Day 2

MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2026
This morning we explore Salem Village. Our first stop is the Gallows Hill Museum & Theatre, where you will be immersed in thrilling theatrical experiences exploring Salem's Witchcraft hysteria, mythology, legends, and ghostly tales. This live Witchcraft and Ghost Experience is sure to captivate and entertain. Enjoy free time and lunch on your own before visiting the Peabody Essex Museum, home to authentic artifacts and documents from the 1692 witch trials. Next, we visit the House of Seven Gables, built in 1668 and the inspiration for Nathanial Hawthorne's legendary novel. This evening, we join Salem Ghosts for an unforgettable walking ghost tour through the hallowed streets of one of America's most haunted cities. An included dinner is provided before returning to our hotel.

Day 3

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2026
This morning after breakfast, we visit the Salem Witch Museum, where you will be invited to challenge common beliefs surrounding the word "witch". Following the experience, we head to Real Pirates Salem to see the world's only fully authenticated pirate treasure ever discovered, presented through narrated tour led by a renowned underwater archaeologist. Enjoy free time and lunch on your own. This afternoon, travel to Gloucester to visit a famed medieval-style castle perched on the rocky shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Explore grand halls, secret passageways, and stunning grounds overlooking the sea. Enjoy free time and dinner on your own along the Gloucester Harbor Walk.

Day 4

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2026
Enjoy an included breakfast before checking out of the hotel. Before departing Salem, we will board the Red Trolley for a historic one-hour Tales & Tombstones Tour, filled with stories of ghosts, haunted hotels, underground passageways, and ancient curses. Following a stop for lunch and a quick dinner on your own, we will have a late arrival home.

Final Payment:

Balance due sixty (60) days prior to departure.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

More than sixty (60) days prior to departure:

Full refund.
From sixty (60) days to fourteen (14) days prior to departure:

$25.00 per person cancellation fee plus any non-refundable deposits paid by McCarter Coach & Tour.
Within fourteen (14) days of departure:

No refund.

Tour Protection

Optional tour protection is available for cancellations made up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure.

With tour protection:

A full refund, minus protection cost, if cancellation is received at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure time.
Cost:

$16.00 per day. Must be purchased no later than sixty (60) days prior to departure.
Note:

Full payment remains due sixty (60) days prior to departure. Failure to remit final payment will void tour protection.
