Many travelers wonder why some trips are canceled. This usually happens when not enough people sign up in advance. Most venues require our payments 60–90 days before the trip, so we often must make decisions well ahead of departure dates. Booking early helps keep these wonderful trips on the schedule—thank you!

Day 1

FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2026
We depart this morning for Allentown, Pennsylvania, where we will visit the historic Allentown Farmers Market for lunch. Enjoy time to explore the many vendors offering baked goods, hot foods, fresh produce, meats, cheeses, wine and spirits, and so much more. Afterward, we will check into The Historic Americus Hotel for our two-night stay.

Day 2

SATURDAY, JULY 11, 2026
Following breakfast, we will travel to Liberty State Park in New Jersey to board a boat for our cruise to the Statue of Liberty. Disembark for an up-close visit to this powerful symbol of American freedom. We then reboard for a short cruise to Ellis Island, where millions of immigrants first stepped onto American soil. You may wish to search for your own family name among the records. After returning to New Jersey, we will cross the Hudson River into New York City to visit the 9/11 Memorial, a beautiful and moving tribute honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that tragic day. We return to our hotel in the early evening.

Day 3

SUNDAY, JULY 12, 2026
After breakfast, we will travel to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for a guided tour of the State Capitol Building. Later, enjoy a quick lunch on your own before continuing to Gettysburg. There we will visit the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and then experience a motorcoach tour of the battlefield with a licensed Gettysburg Battlefield Guide. Dinner this evening is included and will be enjoyed at the historic Dobbin House Tavern. We then begin our journey home after a memorable tour highlighting some of the most important moments in American history.

$75.00 per person due within two (2) weeks of booking.

Final Payment:

Balance due sixty (60) days prior to departure.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

More than sixty (60) days prior to departure:

Full refund.
From sixty (60) days to fourteen (14) days prior to departure:

$25.00 per person cancellation fee plus any non-refundable deposits paid by McCarter Coach & Tour.
Within fourteen (14) days of departure:

No refund.

Tour Protection

Optional tour protection is available for cancellations made up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure.

With tour protection:

A full refund, minus protection cost, if cancellation is received at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to departure time.
Cost:

$16.00 per day. Must be purchased no later than sixty (60) days prior to departure.
Note:

Full payment remains due sixty (60) days prior to departure. Failure to remit final payment will void tour protection.
